KingSett Capital is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Toronto team reporting to the Senior Analyst of Finance. Role Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and assist with annual consolidated reports. This involves preparing journal entries, note disclosures and performance variance analysis to evaluate the financials.
- Assist with the annual budget process and quarterly forecasting
- Prepare monthly HST returns, perform bank monthly reconciliations, calculate monthly asset management fees and review invoices to provide accurate coding as required
- Manage the treasury process, including monitoring bank balances and borrowings, maintaining debt schedules, forecasting liquidity requirements, allocating debt/interest and preparing quarterly compliance packages, communicating any potential issues to management in a timely manner
- Assist with preparation of investor related activities, including capital calls, distributions, reviewing quarterly investor statement details as well as maintaining the integrity of the investor records
- Liaise with asset management and investment groups, providing necessary information as requested
- Assist with the annual audit process as well as the preparation of certain tax files
- Assist team with accounting system and process improvement initiatives and ad hoc requests as needed
Candidate Profile
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or business commerce
- Actively pursuing a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory
- 1-2 years of experience in finance and/or accounting
- Real Estate experience is an asset
- Experience using Yardi Voyager software is an asset
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights
- Working knowledge of financial statements and related notes, including ASPE and IFRS is an asset
- Proficiency in MS Suite with a focus on advanced Excel functions
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks and demands under tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Dedicated, well-organized and resourceful individual with a high level of attention to detail
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
- Team player with positive attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills
