About the Opportunity
KingSett is looking for an experienced and driven individual who is eager to assist the Land Development team on all aspects of KingSett’s entitlement initiatives. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial interest and approach to land development.

Role Responsibilities
Working alongside the Senior Vice President and Vice President, the Associate, Development will:
- Coordinate with the consultant team to facilitate application submissions.
- Oversee deliverables related to applications as they move through the approval process.
- Coordinate related agency approvals.
- Organize and support community engagement initiatives for development projects.
- Track and monitor City wide planning studies including OPA’s/HCD’s/SASP’s to ensure KingSett’s development interests are protected.
- Obtain fee proposals, analyze mandates and prepare entitlement budgets.
- Assist with quarterly reporting to our Investors, Joint Venture Partners and the Executive Team.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of real estate development experience having worked in a similar capacity with another developer.
- Undergraduate degree in Urban Planning, Geography or related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the entitlement process including official plan, rezoning and site applications is essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of the City of Toronto’s planning policies.
- Experience preparing and processing materials to support OPA/ZBA/MV/SPA applications.
- Experience with corporate reporting and budget preparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring independent initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Able and willing to attend public meetings during the evening, as required.
