About the Opportunity
KingSett Capital is seeking a Director, Finance to join the Toronto team reporting to the VP Finance. This role will be responsible for overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting produced by the Fund Core Accounting team, as well as any transactions and deliverables to support fund operations, including acquisitions and dispositions. The successful incumbent will be a key resource for the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and will be internally integrated with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, investment, asset management, and property finance.

Role Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables, ensuring accuracy, adherence to deadlines, and compliance with ASPE for a portfolio of KingSett Funds
- Review monthly forecasts for each fund to ensure adherence to covenants and adequate liquidity availability, and accurate forecasts of acquisitions and dispositions
- Manage the quarterly board reporting process to ensure accurate inputs for board materials
- Responsible for quarterly compliance reporting to lenders
- Oversee the annual budget process, reviewing the accuracy and reasonability of assumptions
- Act as key liaison for annual audit process
- Manage investor transactions, overseeing the preparation of capital call, capital return, preferred return and gain distribution files
- Respond to investor inquiries regarding KingSett Funds in a timely and professional manner
- Lead and mentor a team of four direct reports
Candidate Profile
- Undergraduate degree in finance or business
- Real Estate experience is considered an asset
- CPA designation required
- 8+ years of experience in a business or finance role, experience in real estate industry, modelling and investment analyses a strong asset
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
- Expertise in Excel and a strong familiarity with Word and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Dedicated, well-organized and resourceful individual with a high level of attention to detail
- Team player with positive attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills
- Highest ethical standards and displays both professional and personal integrity
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks and demands under tight deadlines.
