About The Opportunity
KingSett Capital is seeking a Junior IT Systems Administrator to join the Technology team. Reporting to the Director – Infrastructure & Cybersecurity, this role is responsible for technical assistance to users for IT infrastructure related issues reported to the helpdesk while keeping an eye on the IT security alerts. Role Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for application and desktop support, delivering prompt customer service for technical issues and requests.
- Provide technical support for application and hardware requests, including Windows OS, standard desktop applications and SAAS applications.
- Guide users according to policies and procedures and develop solution articles to enable self-service for new or unresolved issues.
- Analyze, document, and escalate critical requests and incidents to L2 Support Team.
- Support the Office 365, Azure, and Intune services.
- Collaborate with the infrastructure team to address core infrastructure issues and perform preventative maintenance on critical systems including systems, and Network & Security matters.
- Ensure the existing network and desktop environment is supported to meet operational needs.
- Monitor and respond to the IT security alerts.
- Ensure corporate laptops and desktops are deployed with up-to-date images in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Assist with the hardware and licensing procurement process.
- Conduct internal audits for audio and video equipment in meeting rooms.
- Maintain sufficient hardware inventory.
- Collaborate with the Director – Infrastructure & Cybersecurity on monthly account administration and reporting.
- Apply consulting and relationship building skills while collaborating with all organizational levels, in a professional services environment.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, system administration or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in systems administration and/or Azure administration.
- Relevant technical certifications, such as ITIL or other qualifications would be an asset.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting will be considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware and systems, networking protocols, and SAAS Applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
