Jamal is responsible for reviewing the level of construction risk during the initial due diligence phase of a project and to provide risk management support for ongoing development and construction loans.
Prior to joining KingSett, Jamal was a Senior Estimator in the Project Management & Estimating team at Tridel. Jamal has a background in the residential sector and has been extensively involved in pre- and post-contract roles during his career. His focus at Tridel was preparing budgets from high-level early-stage budgets to detailed pre-tender budgets. This included the review of construction drawings, trades quotes and contracts, review construction schedule, change orders, and cost allocations along with monthly budget reviews.
Jamal has a Master of Construction Engineering and Management from Concordia University. He is an associate member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS).
